she works (hard?) for the money
Jan. 9th, 2008 10:20 pmI really, really, really love my job at the preschool. It is the best job in the world. I get paid to play with little kids all day. Sometimes I read books to them. Sometimes I cuddle one or two on my lap and pretend to be a bus. Sometimes we go on walks to the playground. I should be the one paying them for this, really. I'm glad I went out there and took a chance, though. :D I wasn't sure how I'd like little kids (and these kids are little little -- our oldest ones are three!) but I love them. They're so adorable. Maybe in a few months I'll be tired of this, but hey, then it's time to leave anyway!
Since my hours aren't consistent or reliable, though, I got a second job today at the local grocery store. Well, I got the job if my, uh, drug test comes back negative, and other than the seven thousand pounds of coke I inhaled yesterday, I should be drug free! That was a joke, law enforcement officers/LiveJournal.
So, I should be busy, but self-reliant, and that's the most important thing to me. I don't want to burden anybody anymore.
In other news, I am addicted to the INTENSE DRAMA of Michael Bolton's greatest hits. I really wish I was kidding. But seriously. I can't be the only one hiding that particular dirty secret.
